Questions About Getting Started
Should I have my foundation evaluated if I notice cracks or sticking doors?
Not every observation requires repair. An on-site evaluation measures elevation and examines interior and exterior conditions to distinguish active movement from cosmetic or seasonal changes. Appearance alone cannot establish whether repair is needed.
What is the difference between a contractor evaluation and an engineering assessment?
A contractor evaluation documents observed conditions and proposes a repair scope. A licensed engineering assessment is a separate professional opinion; a Texas P.E. seal may be required for permits or consequential structural conclusions.
